Textbooks
Textbooks will be issued through the Library Media Center.  All textbooks issued to students must have protective book cover available for free in the Library Media Center.  Textbooks are issued according to the barcode number.  Therefore, students must return the same books that were issued to them.  Remind your student not to leave textbooks in classrooms.  If another student uses your child's book and it becomes damaged or lost, your student is still responsible.  Please see the Textbook Damage Report (see file below) for a list of typical damage fines and replacement costs of regularly issued textbooks.

Students have two weeks after a book is issued to inspect and report any damages that are not noted.  They may use the Textbook Damage Report (see file below) given to them when the book is checked out.  Damage not reported and noted may be charged at the end of the year. When textbooks are returned at the end of the school year, fines may be charged for damages beyond "normal wear" such as writing, water damage, torn or missing pages, and damaged or missing barcodes.  Parent and student are responsible for all lost items.

If you have any questions regarding textbooks, please contact the Library Tech, Mrs. Gandy at 858-586-7001.
